Careers at Block

My team worked with Talent partners across the company to overhaul the way candidates discover and apply for jobs at Bock. The first phase of this project shipped in 2024.

Job discovery

I led the effort to improve job discovery. These improvements were informed by analytics from the existing careers site, feedback from the Talent team, and user testing. Key changes include:

• Filter by brand with new themeable chip components. Previously, brands were buried as dropdown items, and listed in plain text. The new chips use our brands’ logos and colors.
• Quickly find remote-friendly roles. The new Remote toggle is surfaced in the collapsed state of the Locations dropdown. Previously, Remote was buried in the Locations dropdown, among a big list of cities. This change helps underscore our company’s stance on remote work, that we are a remote-first company.
